Reading your bet history

Every bet you place is stored in your account history — this guide is independent, and all your results appear inside your own GSB account, not on this page. After you log in, open 'My Bets' from the account menu — tap your username or balance, usually at the top right of the screen — and switch between 'Open' (still running) and 'Settled' (finished). Each line shows the market, your stake in TSH, the odds you took and the final status. Tap a bet to expand it — the bet ID and booking code sit at the top of the slip detail, and that bet ID is what you quote to support.

The core statuses are simple: Won returns your stake with winnings, Lost keeps the stake, and Void (sometimes shown as a refund) means the selection was cancelled and the stake returned — for football, typically an abandoned or postponed match, a cancelled market, or a team withdrawn from the fixture. A few outcomes are only partial: Asian handicap and quarter lines can land exactly on the line, or win or lose just half the stake. The status table below lists every case, so read the returned amount on your balance rather than trusting the label.

A Cashed out bet was closed early: you accepted GSB's offered amount before the event finished, so the slip is settled at that fixed figure and shows neither Won nor Lost regardless of the final score. A partial cash-out banks part of the stake and leaves the remainder running to settle normally.

How and when bets settle

A bet settles once the relevant event finishes and the official result is confirmed. Result markets such as 1X2 (match result), totals (over/under) and handicaps settle on the 90-minute result — regular time plus the referee's added time — and do not count extra time or penalties. Extra time and penalties only count on markets that explicitly say 'to qualify' or 'to win the cup'. Settlement timestamps in My Bets are shown in EAT (UTC+3), so a late European kick-off may settle after midnight your time.

In an accumulator, one lost leg loses the whole slip. A void leg behaves differently: it is removed from the slip at odds of 1.00 and the accumulator is recalculated on the remaining legs, so the slip keeps running at reduced odds rather than losing. Example: a three-leg accumulator on a 1,000/= stake where one leg is void simply drops that leg and pays out on the other two if they win.

For most football matches a bet is final within minutes to about an hour of the 90-minute result, though player, corner, card and other statistical markets can take a few hours until official data is confirmed. Local fixtures such as NBC Premier League (Ligi Kuu Bara) games — including Simba and Yanga matches — settle on the official league result, which may take a little longer to confirm. As a rough guide, if a finished event stays unsettled beyond about 24–72 hours, contact GSB customer service with the bet ID. A worked example: a 1,000/= single at odds of 2.50 that wins shows as Won, returning stake × odds (a 2,500/= gross return).

Settling only adds winnings to your GSB balance — it is not the same as getting the cash. To take the money out, request a withdrawal to Vodacom M-Pesa, Airtel Money, Tigo Pesa or Halotel, which usually completes within 1–24 hours.

Checking GSB jackpot results

'GSB results' can mean two different things. Your personal bet results (Won/Lost/Void) live under My Bets after you log in. Jackpot results are different: they are the published outcomes of a jackpot round — the correct results of every fixture in that round — and they appear publicly for everyone once the last game of the round has finished, so you can check them without logging in. A jackpot round is often labelled by a game number, which is the most likely meaning of searches like 'results 150'.

To see them, open the jackpots section and find the relevant round or game number; your ticket is scored on how many fixtures you picked correctly, so read down the list and count your correct legs against the published results. Where a jackpot offers consolation prizes, partial-correct tickets (for example most of the fixtures right) are settled at the same time — we never quote amounts here, so check the current jackpot terms for the prize tiers.

Checking results without the app (SMS, USSD, shop slips)

You do not always need the app. 'My Bets' works the same in the Android app and on the mobile or desktop site, opened from the account menu. On a basic feature phone, many players check by SMS or USSD instead, which also saves a data bundle: if GSB offers SMS alerts or a USSD short code for a bet, take the current short code only from GSB's own site, in your registration or confirmation SMS, on a printed paper slip, or at a GSB shop counter — never a number copied from somewhere else.

If you placed a bet on a paper slip in a GSB shop, it will not appear under My Bets. Check that kind of bet by its booking or bet code — start with ticket check to confirm the slip was accepted, then read the outcome at the shop counter, or by SMS or USSD if GSB provides those channels. For match scores themselves rather than your own bet, GSB's sports pages usually carry a results or livescore area listing finished and in-play scores — useful when you only want the score, shown as final scores only, not as betting advice.

If a result looks wrong

Occasionally a bet shows as unsettled long after an event ends, or settles against the score you saw on TV. Live broadcast graphics are not the official source — bets settle on the result declared by the competition's governing body, on the 90-minute rule above. Sportsbooks generally reserve the right to re-settle a bet that was paid on an obviously wrong score or price once the correct official result is confirmed, so check GSB's terms.

If a bet is missing from your history entirely, the question may not be the result at all but whether the slip was ever accepted — check ticket check using the booking code, since a booking code on its own is not a placed bet. If the bet is there but you still think the settlement is wrong, take a screenshot and contact GSB customer service with the bet ID from your history.

Check a GSB bet result in 4 steps

1. Log in to GSB with your Tanzanian phone number and password — no account yet? Register first.

3. Select the 'Settled' tab and find the bet by date or bet ID, then tap it to open the full slip detail.
4. Read the status — Won, Lost, Void or Cashed out — confirm any winnings in your balance, then request a withdrawal to mobile money when you want the cash.
