- If a slip is missing, read your mobile-money SMS: if no stake left your wallet, no bet was placed and there is nothing to reverse; if the stake was taken but the bet failed, a reversal (marejesho) SMS should follow — usually quickly, but not always instant.
- Keep the bet ID — it is the reference GSB customer service needs to look up one specific ticket; never share your password or OTP.

Where to check: My Bets in the app or mobile site
Every real GSB ticket (tiketi) lives inside your account. After you log in on the Android app or iPhone mobile site, tap your profile or avatar in the top corner and open 'My Bets' — if you don't see it, open the ☰ menu. The 'Open' tab lists slips still running; 'Settled' holds finished ones.
Your proof that a stake actually left your wallet is the mobile-money confirmation SMS on your phone — keep it. The bet ID also appears on the on-screen confirmation, so screenshot it, but the slip listed under My Bets is the canonical record that GSB accepted the bet. If GSB also texts a bet confirmation, keep that too as a handy reference for customer service.
Booking code vs a placed bet
A booking code is a short alphanumeric code that saves a set of selections so you — or a friend you share it with — can reload them onto a slip. It is a convenience feature: it carries no stake, no bet ID, and does not mean a bet was placed, staked or won.
A booking code never becomes a bet on its own — adding your own TSH stake and confirming the slip is what creates a placed bet with a unique bet ID under My Bets. Until you stake and confirm (before kickoff, shown in EAT, UTC+3), the code is just saved selections; the exact steps are below.
Confirming a ticket was accepted
After you tap 'Place bet', wait for the confirmation showing 'Accepted' and a bet ID. On a weak mobile connection a slip can fail silently, so always re-open 'My Bets' to be sure the ticket is there before kickoff. If it hasn't appeared yet, pull to refresh My Bets or re-open the tab and wait a minute — slips often sync in after a short delay.
If the odds moved while you were building the slip, GSB may ask you to accept the new price; a slip left on that screen is not placed. A bet shown as Rejected was never accepted — the odds or a limit changed — so the stake is returned and no slip is created.
If a slip is missing from My Bets
A missing slip (pesa imekatwa lakini tiketi haipo — money deducted but no ticket) has two very different causes — the bet never actually placed, or a GSB-side glitch — and your next step depends on which. Check the mobile-money SMS from M-Pesa, Airtel Money, Tigo Pesa or Halotel first. If the stake never left your wallet, no bet was placed and there is nothing to reverse. If the stake was debited but the bet failed, a reversal (marejesho) SMS should follow — normally quickly, though not always instant; if it doesn't arrive, contact your mobile-money provider and keep the transaction ID. If the debit SMS instead confirms the TSH stake left but no slip shows in My Bets, that is the GSB-side case: contact GSB customer service — WhatsApp, live chat or in-app help — with the time, the exact TSH amount and the phone number used.

Checking a ticket on a basic phone (USSD/SMS)
Not every GSB player in Tanzania uses a smartphone. If you placed the bet by USSD or SMS on a feature phone, the confirmation SMS that carries your bet ID (namba ya tiketi) is effectively your ticket — save it. GSB self-service runs over a short SMS or USSD shortcode (the kind you dial as *number#) — some players refer to it as '110', but codes can change, so confirm the current one in the GSB app or site before relying on it. You can then re-read the confirmation SMS or query status through that same self-service flow.
The same bet still surfaces under My Bets whenever you next log in on the app or mobile site, so nothing is lost. If you bet at a GSB shop, the printed serial on the paper slip is its reference — keep it and check it at the shop or against your account if it is linked. When in doubt, call or message customer service with the bet ID.
Verify a GSB ticket in 5 steps
